How do you do the eyes?

Hi.

First, I get the basic color. In this case I duplicated this layer and made one of them "color" in the blending mode and the other I made "screen". Then I reduced the opacity on both until it looked all right. Then I lightly paint on some layers...green, orange...whatever. Then I blur those layers to blend it in. No eye is just ONE color. I also sharpen the eye to make it jump a bit.

I love to get the eyes right. If you get that right it makes all the difference.
